Sarah and Scott
We asked Privilee Members Sarah and Scott to give us their take on Vida Beach Resort Marassi. Here’s how they spend a weekend close to home, and why this spot works so well for their family.
Weekends are sacred in our house. They’re the pause button after a long week of school runs, meetings, and wondering what on earth to cook for dinner. As a family of four living in Marassi, we’re lucky – we have the beach, pool, gym, and even a mall, all just a few sandy footsteps away. With our Privilee membership, we’ve mastered the art of a stress-free daycation – without leaving the neighbourhood. Here’s how a typical Friday looks for us:
9:00am: Slow start, strong coffee
We’re not a 6:00am start kind of family – weekends mean slow mornings. Scott heads out early for a quick gym session at House of Athletes. It’s bright, quiet, and has everything he needs. The ocean-view treadmills definitely help with motivation.
Meanwhile, I’m at home negotiating with our kids, choosing breakfast cereals and coffee.

10:30am: Beach mode: activated
Once we’re all in swimwear and beach bags packed (towels, SPF, and exactly seven different toys), we make our way to Vida. Check-in is smooth as always, and we head straight for the beach.
Layla makes a beeline for the floating inflatable park, while Luke insists on “just five more jumps” off the seapool edge. Scott jumps in too – probably to prove he’s still the fun parent.
The beach is calm, clean, and feels safe. The still waters in the cove are a blessing for parents who don’t want to panic every time a wave comes in. I grab a shaded lounger, pop in a podcast, and enjoy 20 whole minutes of peace. Bliss.

12:30pm: Pool break and light bites
After the kids are finished on the inflatable water park, we say goodbye to the sand and head upstairs to the pool deck. The shift from beach to pool is seamless – we love mixing it up.
The elevated infinity pool here really is something else. There’s something about seeing the sky and sea blur while you’re floating that just hits differently. Scott and I grab a couple of double loungers under the olive trees while the kids splash around.
We order a quick bite from the Pool Bar – iced lemonades for the kids, something stronger for us. And the Privilee saving doesn’t hurt.

2:00pm: Lunch at Origins
When everyone’s had enough pool time, we dry off and head to Origins – Vida’s restaurant, which strikes the right balance between grown-up and kid-friendly.
We’re creatures of habit: Scott goes for the grilled salmon, I get the Thai curry, and the kids demolish the pasta in about four bites. It’s light, fresh, and surprisingly calm – even with a six-year-old.
And again – thank you, Privilee savings.

3:30pm: Afternoon cool down: mall edition
This is where we switch gears. A short stroll (okay, sometimes a bribe involving ice cream) takes us from Vida Beach Resort Marassi straight into Marassi Galleria. We always say we’ll “just pop in for one thing”, and always leave with five shopping bags and a new piece of homeware we probably didn’t need.
Layla loves the bookstore, Luke heads for the toy shop, and Scott somehow always ends up in the sports store. I take the chance to wander in peace, ideally towards the skincare counters.
Being able to move between the beach, pool, and mall without needing the car or a full outfit change? Major win.

5:00pm: Home, happy, and horizontal
By late afternoon, we’re all sun-kissed, slightly sandy, and ready to head home. The kids are mellow (finally), we’re feeling relaxed (miraculously), and no one’s mentioned homework or emails once.
We genuinely don’t know what we’d do without our Privilee membership. It’s more than access, it’s structure for our weekends, the reset we need, and the easiest way to feel like we’re on holiday.
Our tip? Pack light, wear SPF, and split your day – beach in the morning, pool after lunch, and a mall stroll to finish. A little slice of family perfection.
Privilee. All in. All access. Even on your doorstep.
